Majo Apartment is a welcoming 85 sqm holiday home located in a strategic position in the Gianicolense district — a truly Roman, residential area that’s well-connected and full of local character. The apartment overlooks Via Giuseppe Ravizza, with access from Via Quirino Majorana, one of the main arteries of the neighborhood. Thanks to its proximity to Trastevere and to an excellent public transport network, Majo Apartment is the perfect base for exploring Rome with ease — away from the chaos, yet close to everything.

The apartment features two double bedrooms, one modern bathroom with shower, a spacious living room with a sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s located on the ground floor, but the windows are elevated above street level, offering both privacy and a quiet atmosphere.

The apartment is always rented for exclusive use. If the booking is for two guests, one bedroom may be reserved unless otherwise requested before arrival.

The neighborhood

Via Majorana is ideal for travelers who want a quiet, functional base to explore Rome. Here you’ll find the real city: locals doing their grocery shopping, family-run bakeries, and authentic Roman cafés. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is just around the corner — supermarkets, pharmacies, laundromats, and local markets.

If you’re into shopping, you’ll love nearby Viale Marconi, one of Rome’s major commercial streets, full of fashion stores, international brands, Italian boutiques, gelaterias, and casual cafés — all within easy walking distance.

Getting around

One of the apartment’s strongest assets is its excellent connectivity. Just a 5-minute walk away is Trastevere Station, a key transport hub offering:

• Direct trains to St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican (around 8 minutes)

• Fast connections to the Colosseum and historical center via FL1 train and Metro lines

• Non-stop trains and shuttles to Fiumicino Airport

• Easy access to Termini and Ostiense stations

The tram line 8 stops just a few minutes from the apartment and takes you directly into the heart of Rome, to Piazza Venezia, in about 15–20 minutes. From there, you can explore the Capitoline Hill, Roman Forum, Pantheon, and Campo de’ Fiori on foot.

Several bus lines also operate nearby, ensuring smooth travel across the city, even late at night.

Where to eat and have breakfast

You’ll find great spots nearby to enjoy a proper Italian breakfast or a satisfying meal without needing to take public transport or walk too far. All of the following are within a 10-minute walk from the apartment:

• Bar Tornatora (Via Majorana) – A true Roman-style café with fresh pastries, espresso, and a relaxed vibe. Perfect for your morning routine.

• Pizzeria L’Elementare (Via Ravizza) – Crispy Roman pizza, delicious fried starters, and a casual setting. Excellent quality and fair prices.

• Ristorante Luppolo e Farina (Via Enrico Fermi) – Italian comfort food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. A favorite among locals.

• Dolci Desideri (Via Jenner) – A local pastry shop and gelateria known for its cakes, tarts, and sweet treats. Great for take-away too.
